Do you want to learn about decolonization and how to incorporate it into your organization?
In this workshop you will learn to help remedy the legacy of inequity and racism left by colonialism and redress the unequal power relationship it has produced and perpetuated. If we want to contribute to systemic change, we need to understand the concepts of decolonization, Indigenization, and reconciliation.
Learning Objectives
Following this workshop, participants will be able to:
Understand how to implement long- and short-term systemic change. Leaders play an important role in decolonising and they can be active in becoming an ally and standing with colleagues, clients and stakeholders against any form of exclusion, exploitation and disadvantage. Companies can begin to challenge the systemic inequities present in society, by implementing strategies for continuous improvement to create safe places that are inclusive, respectful and honour Indigenous and BIPOC Peoples.
