How to start an EDI committee in your workplace

This workshop is for those of you who are interested in, or have already formed an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee or working group. We will go through what needs you will need to communicate to your employer to get started on this work, and some language you can use to ask for these needs. We will also go through what these first steps for your committee can look like once its formed, and give you examples of some goals of this group, and some strategy to get this work started.

Learning Objectives

During this workshop, participants will:
1. Be provided some initial resources you will require from your workplace to start an EDI committee.
2. Be given examples of first steps once you have formed your committee.
3. Be provided with examples of goals/tasks that an EDI committee can take on.
