Transgender and non-binary individuals often experience stigma and discrimination, hostility, and pressure to “manage” their identities in the workplace— usually to minimize the discomfort of others. These experiences create psychological responses that negatively impact their emotional well-being, job satisfaction, and inclination to remain with an employer. In this conversation, we’ll discuss examples of microgressions trans & non-binary folx experience far too often, and as a group, we’ll identify ways to create workplaces that are safer and more inclusive for gender non-confirming employees.

- Discuss how acts of discrimination negatively impact transgender and non-binary folx in the workplace.
- Identify ways that employers can support gender non-conforming team members.
