White women in EDI
60 min. duration
Description
“Canada’s burgeoning equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) industry is comprised largely by white women.
These women have opted for a profession that allows them to spend their days educating Canadians on matters of social justice, including but not limited to anti-racism.
But what happens when a white woman takes it upon herself to educate Canadians on anti-racism? What does it mean to position oneself as an expert in anti-racism?
Join Nishan Yihalem and Alex Lutzko on November 28th as they ponder the nuances of the EDI industry as it pertains to white women and anti-racism. Are these women just doing their part in dismantling racism? Or are they doing more harm than good? ”
