To bring together Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing Albertans with service and technology options to advance access and opportunity.
We are passionate about every person’s right to communication. We envision a society where the hearing population understands, accepts, and embraces the Deaf and hard of hearing. Our programs, services and education focus on advancing inclusive communication everywhere.
Our main activities include: providing in-person, virtual ,and virtual on demand American Sign Language(ASL)interpreting, conducting ASL programs, providing mental health counseling in ASL, conducting programs for Deaf and hard of hearing seniors(55+)to support the hearing loss journey and to decrease social isolation, an eStore with a variety of assistive technology and safety devices, providing workplace accommodation plans, and conducting inclusive communication training.
