Winnifred Stewart is dedicated to connecting individuals and their communities. We believe in empowering people and inspiring dreams. Through a variety of programs, individuals can focus on discovering their own desired adventures, and through stories, reflect on the milestones they achieve.

Customized support offered through Winnifred Stewart’s various community and facility-based programs assists individuals with diverse abilities to lead fulfilling lives and become integral members of their communities. These programs include Community Opportunities and leisure options, (employment or volunteer support), Home Services (variety of residential options) and our Employment Readiness Program.

Participants of the Employment Readiness Program will complete the program with an inventory of industries they are interested in; knowledge of how and where to look for job opportunities; an updated resume and cover letter template; interview skills and experience; and basic First Aid, WHIMIS and Food Safety certifications. We also offer ProServe (Alberta Liquor Sales Program) for individuals who choose to pursue this certification.

Participants who complete the program will also have four weeks of valuable work experience in one of the chosen fields offered.  

Through the combination of job-hunting preparation and work experience, participants will be ready to begin their job search to start their career with renewed self-confidence, knowledge and experience.
